I’m Derek, founder of Titanium High Performance, established in 2022 after more than 20 years working in Financial Services across Operations, Financial Crime, and Risk.

Alongside my corporate career, training was always a constant. Strength training, goal setting, and routine provided structure, focus, and mental clarity. Lockdown highlighted just how important movement is. When gyms closed and routines disappeared, the impact was felt both physically and mentally. That experience reshaped how I viewed health, fitness, and long-term wellbeing.

With support from my wife and daughter, I retrained as a Level 3 Personal Trainer, developing a strong understanding of exercise science, strength training, and practical nutrition. Studying later in life was challenging, but the hands-on learning and deeper insight into how the body moves, adapts, and recovers confirmed that coaching was the right path.

I also hold a Level 3 Exercise Referral qualification, which allows me to safely support people returning to exercise, managing health conditions, or rebuilding confidence after injury or time away from training.

I now work with clients who want personalised, realistic personal training that fits around busy lives. Coaching focuses on strength, movement quality, confidence, and consistency rather than extremes or quick fixes. Clients include busy professionals, parents, beginners, and those returning to exercise.

I offer in-person personal training at JD Gyms Renfrew and online personal training across the UK, with programmes tailored to individual goals, ability levels, and access to equipment.

My approach is simple: structured support, clear guidance, and training that works in real life. The aim is to help you train smarter, move better, and feel stronger and more confident over time.

I provide affordable, adaptable personal training designed to fit real life. My aim is to help you build strength, resilience, and confidence, learn to feel comfortable in the gym, and recognise progress at every stage.

I support clients from a wide range of backgrounds and starting points. Training is personalised to your goals and circumstances. That may include returning to exercise postnatally, managing a long-term or chronic condition, rebuilding fitness after time away, or finding better balance in day-to-day life.

Coaching focuses on safe movement, consistency, and long-term health. Plans adjust as your body and life change, so training works for you rather than against you.
